Featured Case Study: Boys Town Spirit of Youth Awards Gala (2024)
In an evening filled with hope, inspiration, and heartfelt community celebration, Boys Town Louisiana hosted its 3rd Annual Spirit of Youth Awards Gala at the elegant Barnett Hotel (formerly Ace Hotel) in downtown New Orleans. This powerful event honored individuals who exemplify resilience, transformation, and leadership rooted in the mission of Boys Town.
The evening featured remarks by BTL Chair Alvin Johnson and Executive Director Rashain Carriere-Williams, with Fox 8’s Kelsey Davis serving as host. A lively patron after-party capped the evening’s agenda.
Among the event’s most moving moments were the Spirit of Youth Awards presented to Judge Ranord J. Darensburg, a respected leader in juvenile justice reform, and Amanda Martinez, a Boys Town alumna who overcame significant hardships in her youth and has since become a community leader working with both the NFL and NBA.

About Devoted Dreamers Foundation
Devoted Dreamers Foundation was founded in 2013 by New Orleans Saints linebacker DeMario Davis and his wife Tamela Davis. Rooted in purpose and fueled by vision, the organization equips the next generation of leaders to rise spiritually grounded, mentally strong, and physically prepared to impact the world.
Through bold, transformative education, Devoted Dreamers Academy challenges traditional learning by combining high-energy after-school experiences and immersive summer camps with real-life skills development. Their holistic programs focus on character building, emotional intelligence, public speaking, goal setting, financial literacy, and leadership, cultivating world changers, not just athletes. While many participants are youth athletes, the Foundation’s mission proves that their potential reaches far beyond the field.
Photography Partnership
Sorena A Photography partnered with Devoted Dreamers Foundation from April through July 2025 to serve as their official photographer for the Spring Enrichment and Training Program. This multi-month mentorship series supported youth athletes through a mix of athletic, financial, and personal development trainings with monthly events held at Willow High School New Orleans.
Sorena A Photography was brought on to document the program’s evolution and highlight its deep impact on the community. Through visual storytelling, Sorena’s work helped create a powerful media archive to support the Foundation’s marketing, fundraising, and outreach efforts, now featured across the Devoted Dreamers website and social media platforms.
Featured Case Study: Spring Enrichment & Training Program
The Spring Enrichment and Training Program incorporated interactive sessions on wellness (in partnership with Ochsner Health), character-building through the Foundation’s signature 5T’s (Time, Talent, Treasure, Temple, and Testimony), and hands-on financial literacy education led by OnPath Credit Union.
